Latin-American Businessman Alexandre Gama

Alexandre Gama is a Brazilian-born entrepreneur who was born in that country’s most popular city, Rio de Janeiro, in June of 1958. He received a degree in Advertising and Communications from Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation, then began his career in advertising in 1982 when he obtained employment at Standard Ogilvy and Mather as a copywriter.

He went on to hold many more leadership positions at other companies, one of them being Young and Rubicam, where he was the CEO, as well as a member of its Global Board.

After leaving Young and Rubicam in 1999, Alexandre Gama decided to start his own agency, which he named Neogama. The company, of which he is the CEO and Chief Compliance Officer, became one of Brazil’s top 20 advertising agencies, and in 2002, it won Agency of the Year. He was also the first Latin-American to be a part of the Cannes Film Festival in France as a Master Class presenter. He won 2 Golden Lion awards at this festival in 2003. And he has a presence in the music industry through an acoustic guitar project he founded in 2014 called VIOLAB. This venture includes a recording studio, a radio program, a recording label and a YouTube channel.
